Anchoring Points:
- I am a cancer survivor and I practice what I preach about exercising humor. The way of wise fool is a good path. I believe I would hold to that value even if I wasn’t “surviving.”
- The First Amendment’s protected rights are key to a nation’s survival. On a microcosmic scale these rights also represent values that are key to an individual’s survival and to a family’s survival.
- I think of myself as a moderate. I tend to err on the side of the progressive perspective only because I fear the tyranny of the far right – theocratic fascism, anti-intellectualism, and nationalism – much more than I fear the tyranny of the flaky far left.
- Questioning fearlessly is demonstrably an act of faith in our way of life.
- Respecting our differences is demonstrably an act of faith in our way of life.
- I was born to free associate. I am the ADHD poster boy, consciously turning an alleged “handicap” into an asset.
- I believe that US citizens should make the effort to be informed and to brave new experiences and points of view – and to participate. Prevent Hitlerism!
- For pleasure I enjoy making naïve folk art as a contrast with my daily task.
- I know I am having a bad day when I fall into the trap of taking myself seriously, which is very tough to avoid in my business.
- I will never retire, but will likely die when my head hits the drawing board.
