Circles of Change:  Conversations with Dr. Zara Larsen

on Change Leadership and Career Fulfillment

November 2, 2008

“Open Pathways: Energy and Communication”

Guest: Judy Ferrigno

Anchoring Points:

  1. I had a compelling desire to do communication and healing work with pets and their owners, and the universe jumpstarted me when my position was eliminated in a corporate reorganization.

  1. I have always loved animals and told career counselors I wanted to be a clinical psychologist before I knew what that meant.  In looking back, I was just led to where I am now by life events.

  1. As a young child, I had the ability to see energy in other forms, but like many of us, buried it deeply for a long time.   It was when traditional equine training methods had no result that I turned to energy methods nearly 10 years ago ands since then have spent many hours with my mentors, taken classes, done lots of reading and self work. It is key to know which is the best modality to use for a particular being.

  1.  During energy sessions both animals and people relax to the extent they may doze off, which I think is a great sign of release and of going to another level where the work can be done.  It feels so good to help, and surprisingly I feel better than when I started. Life is a journey, so it’s hard to say if we are “cured,” but very often clients and their animals get to a place where the problem they came to me with is no longer apparent.

  1.  I believe in abundance – there is more than enough for all of us, and so I don’t think in terms of competition or “better than.” Energy healing involves frequencies, so it is good to have a number of approaches or modalities to call on.

  1. Working to open pathways for communication has changed me in that I have become more spiritual and more compassionate.  I compare myself less to others and feel less of a desire to compete, which is a part of realizing there is enough for all.

  1. As Sufi Rumi said in a poem, “Beyond all ideas of right doing and wrong doing, there is a field.  I’ll meet you there.”   Open pathways, energy and communication.
